Architecture

South Peak Resort on Loon Mountain is located in the heart of the majestic White Mountains, with dramatic views of the Pemigewasset River valley. As expansion on the mountain takes place, it is important to preserve the integrity of the natural landscape and wildlife habitat for future generations to enjoy.  For this reason, much of the White Mountains remain under the guardianship of the United States Forest Service.

The South Peak Resort Design Guidelines are overseen by the South Peak Resort Architectural Review Board, and have been crafted to help preserve the community atmosphere and shape the future architecture and landscaping.

It is the goal of these guidelines to provide a unified design aesthetic throughout the community while preserving the natural beauty of the mountain setting and the adjacent river corridor.  To achieve this, the architectural vision calls for the use of indigenous building materials such as stone, timbers, logs, wood and metals.  South Peak Resort has been thoughtfully designed to include an assortment of single family homes and multi-family residences with these aesthetics in mind.
