If you’re not here for vacation week, you should join us! It’s great weather, and people are thrilled to be here! There was a bit of snowfall last night, so everyone is excited about that and the possibility of more; as we might have mentioned in the previous blog, conditions have had a certain spring-like feel lately.

We’d like to remind you all that you can enjoy more fun at Loon from Thursday to Saturday at “Fluorescent Nights,” running each night from 6-9 pm. Tickets can be bought at the Tubing Office across from the Little Sister Lift for $20, $15 with a valid PeePs pass.

Greetings everyone! The past few days up here on the mountain have been great weather for skiing and snowboarding! Mild temperatures and some snowfall have created beautiful spring-like conditions, which we know you all love.

And so it’s a bright beginning for Vacation Week. The mountain has a lot of great events and activities going on over the following week, so we hope you’ll find time to come up here and enjoy it all with us!

More Winter on the Way at South Peak

I don’t know about you, but I think all of us at South Peak met the Groundhog’s recent discovery of his shadow with enthusiasm. More winter means more snow and more time spent on the mountain with you! Speaking of, don’t forget to check out this weekend’s events, including Love in Stockholm in Loon’s Bunyan Room tomorrow night, with NEDS Ski-and-Ride Challenge to follow on Sunday!

Top of the Week Update

This weekend brought the area some snowy weather, with clouds breaking Sunday to reveal clear skies. Today and tomorrow will see chances of snow with a partly sunny weekend ahead, which should lead to some nice outdoor conditions while snowmaking continues on the mountain. Good conditions are especially welcome as Loon has several events worth looking forward to this week and into the weekend on the mountain, including the CASA SnowFest and NEDS Ski-and-Ride Challenge.

South Peak Weekend Update!

South Peak Resort and Loon Mountain Resort welcomed quite the present last night — eight inches of fluffy, light snow! If you were on the fence about whether to visit Lincoln this weekend, there’s your deciding factor right there. Come on up to partake in Loon’s fantastic conditions!

Also, a reminder to our owners that the home owner lift has been up and running since late December! Make sure to stop in and relax in the Warming Hut, too.

South Peak Snow!

The snow is pretty heavy up here today, but it’s a beautiful and welcome sight! It bodes pretty well for us, as we’ve gotten 5″ thus far, with 10″ expected. The weather is expected to continue until 10 PM this evening!

This is the view from the front porch of the South Peak office building, looking westward at Loon’s Gondola Barn. There are mountains in the background, but due to the snowstorm, visibility is less than a quarter of a mile, so you can’t see them!

South Peak Owner Update

Loon is ever busy making snow this year as Mother Nature hasn’t provided as much natural snow – yet; a storm is reportedly brewing and is in the itinerary for Wednesday of next week! On top of that we have been blessed with some clear, sunny days in the mid-30s. I’m sure the contractors for The Lawton Company appreciate it as they build one of the newest additions to our development on Hemlock Drive! Here’s the latest photo, taken within the last week:
