Ranked #1 for access and in the Top Ten Best in the East in SKI Magazine’s 2010 Reader Resort Survey, Loon Mountain has invested $20 million in the past five years to add additional terrain, uphill capacity, and state-of-the-art snowmaking and grooming technology, and continues its commitment to a great guest experience today. The most recent $1.4 million investment added four new trails and 160 additional Low-E tower snow guns, some of the latest grooming technology, to this east coast skiing mecca.
Loon Mountain is New England’s most accessible mountain resort destination, offering 2,100 feet of vertical and three peaks-worth of terrain variety. This family-friendly ski mountain allows skiers to choose from gentle beginner slopes, long cruisers, steeps and tree skiing, a full progression of seven terrain parks, as well as a halfpipe and superpipe. Loon’s Snowsports School offers programs for all ages and abilities and the Adventure Center features cross country skiing, snowshoeing, ice skating, equipment rental, tours, an indoor climbing wall and a zipline.
